Clean & Natural
Yes. Every Amascence fragrance is formulated to the safety standards of IFRA (the International Fragrance Association), the global guidelines that govern how each fragrance material can be used. Working only with natural materials doesn't exempt us — some botanicals are potent, and IFRA sets safe usage levels for them too. We respect those limits so that what you wear is both natural and safe on skin.
Synthetic (most perfume on the market) is built from aroma molecules created in a lab, frequently from petrochemicals. Clean isn't a regulated term — it usually means a brand discloses its ingredients or avoids a list of flagged ones, but most "clean" fragrance is still made with synthetics. Natural means every ingredient is drawn from a natural source — essential oils, absolutes, extracts, resins — with no synthetics at all. It's the rarest and most costly of the three. Amascence is 100% natural.
Fragrance is one of the least regulated categories in beauty — brands can list
"fragrance" or "parfum" as a single word and disclose nothing further. Yet
perfume sits directly on warm skin all day. If you've already cleaned up your
skincare, food, and home, fragrance is often the last blind spot. Amascence
closes it.
Natural fragrance is generally gentler in its construction, but natural materials
can still be potent and individual sensitivities vary. We recommend a small patch
test on the inner wrist before regular wear.
A fragrance unfolds in three stages. Top notes are the first impression — bright and lifting, they appear on application and fade within minutes. Heart notes emerge as the top settles; they're the core character of the scent and last for hours. Base notes are the deepest, heaviest materials — they reveal themselves last and linger longest, anchoring the fragrance to your skin. Together these layers are known as the fragrance pyramid.
The Scent Experience
Here you can place an explanation or answer to the question.
Yes — and that's intended. Natural materials open, settle, and warm with your skin
over the hours. The scent you smell at first application is the beginning of the
story, not the whole of it.
Apply to well-moisturized skin, focus on pulse points, and reapply lightly when
you want to refresh it. Unscented moisturizer underneath gives the scent
something to hold onto.
Layering over unscented skincare works beautifully. Layering with other
fragrances can compete with the natural composition, so we suggest letting
Amascence stand on its own.
Keep it away from direct sunlight and heat, and recap it after use. Natural
fragrances are living compositions — cool, dark storage protects their integrity
and longevity.
